Every year, my best friend from college and I pick a spot on the map and go. It’s our way of staying connected and making space for a little adventure together. This year, we landed on Santa Fe – a city that blends rich history with vibrant culture and stunning desert landscapes. From the food to the art to the energy of the place, Santa Fe just feels special. Here’s the edit on where to eat, drink, shop, stay, and play when visiting the City Different:
Stay:
Bishops Lodge: A luxury retreat nestled in the foothills, just a 10 minute drive from town, offering a true escape. You can never go wrong with Auberge.

Hotel St. Francis: Classic, charming, and right in the center of everything.
Eat:
Paloma: A lively spot for Mexican cuisine and killer margaritas. The perfect place to start your night with tacos and cocktails.
Geronimo: Fine dining with a Southwestern twist. Located in a charming adobe building, this spot has received its fair share of accolades. The Fiery Sweet Chili & Honey-Grilled Mexican White Prawns dish is a MUST.
Joseph’s Culinary Pub: Upscale, yet relaxed, this spot offers inventive dishes with a local twist. It was closed while we were there, but on our list for next time!
Pasquals: An iconic spot known for its eclectic vibe and connection to the local art scene. Great for brunch or lunch! There is always a line so make sure to pop in early to put your name down.
Henry and the Fish: A charming spot for coffee or a casual breakfast to fuel your Santa Fe shopping.
La Boca: A tapas gem with bold, Spanish-inspired dishes. Great wine list.
Bode’s General Store: A historic spot to grab a bite on your way to explore Ghost Ranch. Their $6 breakfast burritos did not disappoint.
The Shed: A Santa Fe classic known for its iconic red and green chile. You can’t go wrong here!
Drink:
Secreto Lounge: Known for its craft cocktails and an intimate atmosphere. We loved it here so much we came back twice!
