Niche Brands All The Cool Girls Are Wearing
The ones you notice before they’re everywhere
If your wardrobe feels a little too obvious lately, this is your sign to shop smaller. Emerging designers, vintage finds, and under-the-radar brands are where personal style actually starts to feel personal again. They’re the pieces that don’t immediately register as familiar, the ones people ask about instead of recognize.
Lately, I’ve been far more interested in what’s quietly circulating: brands worn by people with great taste, not massive reach. The ones you notice on the streets of New York and Paris before you ever see them everywhere online. Less about chasing trends, more about building a wardrobe that feels intentional, lived-in, and distinctly yours.

Attersee
Attersee sits firmly in investment-piece territory, but the designs make the case for themselves. Elevated, sculptural, and quietly confident, it’s the kind of brand that appeals to The Row lovers and anyone drawn to restraint done exceptionally well. They’ve also introduced more accessible accessories (like THIS bag that I just purchased), which makes easing into the brand feel less intimidating and still very chic.

ARMA
ARMA is one of those brands that’s been around for decades but suddenly feels very now. Founded in 1985, they specialize in beautifully made leather jackets at a surprisingly sharp price point. Everything is produced in Turkey, and the craftsmanship shows. These are the jackets (like THIS suede one) I keep seeing thrown on effortlessly…always a good sign.

Cano
Cano is a Colombian, family-owned jewelry brand that’s been around since the 1970s, and it feels incredibly special. Everything is crafted in gold, with designs that feel timeless rather than trendy. The pricing is solid for the quality, and the pieces have that heirloom energy. THESE earrings and THIS necklace are currently in my cart.

Deiji Studios
For loungewear that still feels considered, Deiji Studios is a go-to. The pieces are soft, flattering, and effortless without looking lazy. It’s the kind of off-duty uniform that still reads intentional. Especially obsessed with THESE pants… perfect for Spring!

Cawley Studio
Cawley Studio is for anyone who loves texture, craft, and silhouettes that do the work for you. The pieces feel thoughtful and easy at the same time. The kind of clothes that instantly make an outfit feel styled without trying. THIS jacket is on my ever-growing wish list.

Don’t Let Disco
A playful New York–based jewelry brand with a genuinely clever name. Everything is made using Murano glass and reclaimed vintage finds, giving the pieces a nostalgic, sentimental feel without tipping into precious. The bag charms alone are enough reason to pay attention.

Ruadh
Ruadh is a newer New York brand founded by a Scottish designer. The name means red in Gaelic, and that identity runs through everything: subtle pops of red in the collection, cherry-red packaging, and a very cohesive brand world. Denim is the heart of the line, and the Quinn jeans are the hero piece.

BRUT Archives
Based in Paris, BRUT Archives has built a truly special archive of vintage clothing and uses deep fashion-history knowledge to inform their designs. The silhouettes feel timeless and intelligent rather than nostalgic. Their oversized long-sleeve tops (like THIS one I just ordered) are a must: effortless, slightly undone, and very “cool girl who knows her references.”

La Collection
Operating between Antwerp and Paris, La Collection is for anyone drawn to 90s minimalism and the idea of a carefully curated wardrobe that never dates. The cuts and fabrics are impeccable, and every piece feels like a long-term investment (like THIS fabulous coat). If you’re in Paris, their store is worth seeking out. It’s housed in an old apartment and is genuinely stunning.

Henri
Henri is a beautiful knitwear brand out of New York City built around everyday staples. The focus is on quality, fit, and ease. Pieces you wear constantly without overthinking. Elevated basics that quietly do the heavy lifting in a wardrobe, like THIS cardigan.

Sophie Buhai
Sophie Buhai has completely redefined silver jewelry over the last few years, treating it as wearable sculpture rather than just an accessory. The aesthetic lives somewhere between 1920s surrealism and modern minimalism. She’s also expanded into chic hair accessories and sculptural home objects, all with the same thoughtful restraint.

Slvrlake
If you’re still searching for the perfect jeans, Slvrlake is worth your attention. The LA-based label combines premium Italian denim with raw, 90s-inspired silhouettes that actually hold their shape. With a wide range of washes, rises, and fits, these jeans somehow work on everyone. THESE are my favorite cut / wash.

Delarge
Barcelona’s Delarge makes sunglasses that feel nostalgic and modern at the same time. Think 70s references with a clean, contemporary edge. These are the frames that instantly elevate an outfit…especially good for travel, even better for everyday. I live in THIS pair.

Jamie Haller
Jamie Haller is the definition of understated cool. The shoes feel like forever pieces. The kind of footwear you reach for when you want to look pulled together without looking like you tried too hard. She’s known for THESE penny loafers.

Prounis
Prounis is fine jewelry out of New York City that feels intimate, historical, and truly special. Each piece is handmade in 22-karat gold and carries a sense of story and permanence. This is jewelry you buy once and keep forever. I can’t stop thinking about THIS pair.

Liberowe
Based in London, Liberowe fuses Indian menswear traditions with the effortless glamour of 1970s Paris. The tailoring is exceptional, but the brand also excels at resort wear and elevated evening pieces. Structured yet relaxed…like THIS jacket.

Carelli
Carelli is all about celebrating femininity in a way that feels playful, elevated, and deeply intentional. Everything they create is made with an obsessive level of care, which really shows in the final product. Right now, they’re having a moment with outerwear, especially their faux fur jackets and coats, which somehow manage to feel both dramatic and refined. I have an alert set for their next drop because this is the kind of brand that sells out before you even finish convincing yourself you need it.

With Nothing Underneath
If you’ve been on a lifelong hunt for the perfect button-down, this is your answer. The brand was founded by a former Vogue editor who spent years tailoring men’s shirts for herself because women’s options just weren’t cutting it. The result is a line of effortless, “borrowed-from-the-boys” shirts that somehow still feel polished and intentional. Everything is timeless, anti-trend, and designed to live in your wardrobe forever.

Wales Bonner
Wales Bonner is the ultimate cool girl brand, blending British heritage with Afro-Atlantic history in a way that feels deeply researched and incredibly wearable. Designer Grace has perfected that retro sporty meets tailored aesthetic, and it’s having a very deserved moment right now. She’s officially stepping into the role of creative director at Hermès, which honestly makes so much sense. THESE shoes are a must.

Sophie Bille Brahe
Sophie Bille Brahe is the queen of Scandinavian jewelry. She takes inspiration from the night sky, which gives her pieces that delicate, celestial feel. They’re minimal but not boring, refined but still slightly avant-garde. Because everything is handmade using top-tier materials, this is investment jewelry. The kind you buy for a milestone moment and then pass down someday.

A.Emery
If you love quiet luxury and that effortlessly polished, minimalist look, A.Emery deserves a spot in your closet. The Australian brand focuses on clean lines, thoughtful silhouettes, and a great price point for the quality. They’ve recently expanded into ready-to-wear, and the pieces are perfect for building a timeless wardrobe that still feels modern. I’m also very into their bags right now.

Still Here New York
Still Here continues to be a go-to for denim that feels current but not trendy. Their jeans are great, but I’m especially loving the jogger-inspired styles with elasticated waists that still look polished. I just ordered a pair of THESE denim, and the draw strings are next on my list. This is the kind of brand that makes getting dressed feel relaxed but considered…very New York.

Alex Eagle
Based in London, Alex Eagle blends beautiful tailoring with lifestyle pieces for the home. The brand is rooted in classic menswear influences and timeless wardrobe staples, reinterpreted in a modern way. Their London store is part concept space, part fashion destination.
What all of these brands have in common is a point of view. They’re not trying to appeal to everyone, and that’s exactly what makes them special. There’s a confidence in shopping smaller and in choosing pieces rooted in craft, history, and thoughtful design rather than hype.
This is usually where style starts to feel more intuitive again. Less about what’s “in,” more about what actually resonates with you. And once you start noticing these brands, it’s hard to unsee them. The list is always growing. I’ll be back with more.
